HiFive Cincy Challenge Enters 8th Year
The Warren County Soccer Club and the Cincinnati United Soccer League were proud to host the 8th Annual HiFive Cincy Challenge in Lebanon, Ohio this past weekend. This highly-competitive and popular tournament boasts 186 teams who participated in 324 games over the weekend. In the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play, the tournament’s theme was “Are You Up To It?”
Participants and families experienced two days of high energy soccer and competition as well as amazing food options on the Midway provided by Abuelo’s, Skyline, It’s Dinner Time, First Goal Café and more. We were also proud to welcome Party Podz to the event this year with their gaming trailer featuring Xbox360, Wii and Playstation3 gaming stations. Kings Island was once again this year's presenting sponsor.
The first seven years of the event exceeded typical “new tournament” expectations and have established the HiFive Cincy Challenge as a top Fall tournament destination in the Midwest. A total of over 1,200 teams of all levels and abilities from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, West Virginia, and even Ontario, Canada have joined in the fun and competition over the years, and our champions proved they were “up to the challenge ”. The tournament has helped generate an economic impact of several million dollars to Warren County.
Opening ceremonies and multi-games were all held at the Lebanon Sports Complex in Lebanon, Ohio on Saturday, October 8th and Sunday, October 9th.
As the name suggests, HiFive Development Services has been the major sponsor of this tournament from its inception and played a major role in founding and organizing the competition.
