HiFive Wins National ICF Builder Award

HiFive Wins National ICF Builder Award

HiFive is thrilled to announce that we placed first (again!) in the national ICF Builder Awards! The dual-brand Fairfield Inn & Suites / TownePlace Suites of Beavercreek, OH won first place for Best Multifamily Low-Rise. This Marriott hotel project was completed in August of 2025. The ICF Builder Awards are held annually to celebrate and recognize the best in insulated concrete construction. ICF (short for insulated concrete form) is a construction method in which large hollow foam blocks are stacked to form the walls of a structure, then braced and filled with steel-reinforced concrete to create a building that is energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and virtually indestructible. The Builder Awards showcases the innovation, quality and craftsmanship possible with this construction method.

Our category, “Multifamily Low-Rise,” consisted of multifamily projects that are five stories or less. Projects were judged based on ICF use, construction complexity and craftsmanship, design factors including architecture and sustainability, and significance to the ICF industry.

ICF construction is a rapidly growing industry and HiFive is proud to be recognized as one of the leading builders in this construction method. While ICF might not suite every single construction project and budget, it is undeniably a fantastic choice for many different needs. As the Builder Awards themselves put it, “ICF buildings are beautiful yet disaster-proof, energy efficient, and remarkably affordable”…we tend to agree!
